It has only been a couple of weeks since I last posted, but man, it seems like FOREVER!!!! My life is sooo busy crazy.
Yesterday when I was meeting with me mentor (someone much wiser than I :) ) she and I were talking and I was telling her some of what has been going on in my life and she said that things sound like they are pretty crazy for me, but then she asked "Hannah, are you content in where you are?" She made me think for a moment, but then I could honestly answer yes, that I am content. Life is full of ups and downs, and at times it seems like the downs outnumber the ups, but I know that God has plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans for hope and a future. I have struggled before in being content, wondering what contentment really is, and if it is even possible to find while we are here on this earth, but I have discovered that it is possible, and not just for a moment when everything is right. My life isn't horrible, but according to human standards very little in my life has gone "right" as of late.... God has shown me through all of this what it really is to be content. My soul is at rest in Him. For me that is contentment. I have felt it before, but I haven't realized what it really was. My life is on a roller coaster, but I am resting in Him. I KNOW that He loves me. I KNOW that no matter what He is ALWAYS going to be there for me. I KNOW that I will spend eternity with Him. I KNOW that He knows better than I do what is good for me and my life. I can see Him in so many ways. A few times people have asked me why I still smile when things get so rough in my life, and I usually answer with something like " there isn't anything else to do". God has blessed me in so many ways that when things get rough I remember what He has done for me, what He has brought me through and I have to smile knowing that He has plans for me. He love me sooo much! I wish I could convey with words all that my Savior does for me, but words cannot suffice.....

"A Woman's Question" by Lena Lathrop
I found this poem in "I Kissed Dating Goodbye"by Joshua Harris and I thought some of you might enjoy it. AMAZING book btw!!!!
Do you know you have asked for this priceless thing
As a child might ask for a toy?
Demanding what others have died to win,
With the reckless dash of a boy.
You have written my lesson of duty out,
Manlike, you have questioned me.
Now stand at the bars of my woman's sould
Until I shall question thee.
You require mutton shall always be hot,
You socks and your shirt be whole;
I require your heart by true as God's stars
And as pure as His heaven your soul.
You require a cook for your mutton and beef,
I require a far greater thing;
A seamstress you're wanting for sicks and shirts--
I look for a man and a king.
A king for the beautfil realm called Home,
And a man that his Maker, God,
Shall look upon as He did on the first
And say: "It is very good."
I am fair and young, but the rose may fade
From this soft young cheek one day;
Will you love me then 'mid the falling leaves,
As you did 'mong the blossoms of May?
Is your heart an ocean so strong and true,
I may launch my all on its tide?
A loving woman finds heaven of hell
On the day she is made a bride.
I require all things that are grand and true,
ALl things that a man should be;
If you give this all, I would stake my life
To be all you demand of me.
If you cannot be this, a laundress and a cook
You can hire and little to pay;
But a woman's heart and a woman's life
Are not to be won that way.
Yes, there are things that we females need to work on too, but guys, read this and look at a woman as a treasure to be won. Not something to be used. Win a girl by knowing what is past her face. If you can tell her what you love about her soul, her heart, her brain, then she will be yours. If you just comment on the outside then she will know what your heart is after. Yes, tell her she is beautiful, but tell her what makes her beautiful from the inside out. This is not as easy of a task as telling a girl she is pretty, but spending a life time with someone is not easy. Tell her instead what you hope to still see when she is fifty...
